As you might remember, we purchased a home about 16 months ago. There are so many things that are perfect about our house...character, 2 bathrooms, a fireplace, hardwood floors, a craft room... but it's an old house.
Built in 1928.
With plaster walls.
Yeah, aesthetically they are really nice to look at, but they are quite the pain in the back side. There's no insulation, they cause extreme pain when rubbed against elbows and knuckles with laundry baskets in tow, and they are near impossible to put a nail or screw in to hang something from.
We were blessed with a pretty thick blanket of snow last week! I know for those of you from the north, that means nothing to you...y'all have had feet upon feet for weeks and are ready to see spring...heck probably even summer. I'm a summer girl myself but there's nothing like snow day! Yeah, we get a little here and there but it typically doesn't stick, let alone stick around.
But last week we had snow for 3 DAYS! And time seemed to stand still!
It's the most wonderful time of the year! And with that comes lots of projects, parties, get-togethers, and goodies. It's been an extra busy season in our home this year with craft shows and Christmas orders. My apologies for the lack of posts this season. I had so many fun and frugal projects to share with y'all but they will just have to wait until next year. So, I thought I might give you the grand tour of our home sweet home...all "Christmas-fide."
Grab a cup of cocoa or cider, turn on some Bing Crosby, and enjoy the home tour...
I have been waist deep in Christmas projects for about 3 months now. I just finished a pretty big Christmas craft show... my first time at this particular show... and I had a fantastic time. I did very well, even got a booth at a local antique market out of the weekend. But, if you saw my home, you may just be appalled at the mess...
...but I'm working on it.
That stands for something doesn't it.
I'll be sharing some pictures of the show and my booth with you later but for today, I wanted to let you see a little bit of what I've been working on.
I am just in love with PicMonkey...is anyone else? They just have some really neat editing features... Above I used the posterize effect for my front porch vignette... How cute?! And yes, those are Pottery Barn pumpkins...$10.00 at a yard sale for the both of them!!! SCORE! I'll be doing a post shortly to show you more of my cute little front porch all dressed up for autumn...
But today I wanted to show you my dining room table decor.
